Message to the Media - Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada

2015 was a landmark year for the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada, with the watershed moment of Mackenzie Investments coming on board as the first Umbrella sponsor of PGA TOUR Canada kicking off a season to remember across the summer.

From J.J. Spaun's record-setting season on the way to earning the Order of Merit title and exempt status on the Web.com Tour to Jason Millard's thrilling victory at the Freedom 55 Financial Championship to move inside The Five, highlights on the course were once again a bright spot this year.

At the next level, our alumni are beginning to proved how strong the level of competition is here, with two of the four nominees for PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year - Nick Taylor and Tony Finau - having played here in 2013. Six more Mackenzie Tour alumni earned PGA TOUR cards for 2015-16, proving that tomorrow's PGA TOUR players are competing here in Canada today.

Perhaps most thrilling, however, were some of the highlights off the course this year, with a 60.5% increase in charitable contributions by our tournaments leading the way as we aim to make a positive impact in the communities where we play.

As we move into the 2016 season, we look forward to seeing many more milestones and continuing to improve every aspect we can of the Mackenzie Tour.
